Goa, July 17 — The Goa Study Tour, organized by the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), concluded this week with a special presentation ceremony honouring top tourism companies that have actively contributed towards making the event successful. As a symbolic gesture, an Ashoka Pillar Trophy was presented to supporting companies — an emblem of India’s enduring heritage, cultural pride, and national identity.

The Ashoka Pillar, featuring the iconic Four Lions of Sarnath, stands as a historic marker of unity, strength, and India’s ancient legacy. Its presence as a trophy aptly mirrors the ethos of Indian tourism, which connects diverse traditions, spiritual landscapes, and heritage sites under one banner. Souvenirs like these, echoes the spirit of the Incredible India campaign, reinforcing the value of collaboration between the tourism industry and cultural custodians and government departments.

The event was organized by ADTOI (Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India) under Mr. Dharmendra Singh Chauhan (Maharashtra Chapter Chairman). ADTOI is a national body for domestic tour operators in India, established on August 7, 1996, with the primary objective of promoting domestic tourism within the country. ADTOI aims to unite the efforts of tour operators across India and provide professional services to consumers by collaborating with various stakeholders, including accommodation providers, travel facilitators, and transport services like railways and airlines.
